Ordering Information

Ordering from The Mystic Reef is very easy, we make sure customers recieve the service and quality they deserve and expect from The Mystic Reef. Because our online business is separate from the store, pricing online does not necessarily reflect pricing in The Mystic Reef storefront. (See our Policies for more information)

To place an order, either call us during normal business hours (pacific time) or e-mail us at Sales@themysticreef.com. You can use THIS order form. Please make sure to include ALL necessary contact information; Name, E-mail, Address, and Phone Number. We will collect billing information when we follow up with the order. We can process standard credit trasactions, and also accept paypal.

Within 1-2 business days of placing your inquiry, you will be contacted by a representative from The Mystic Reef to complete your order.

We will Finalize the order, and once talking with a representative, you can let us know if there is anything else that you're looking for. We will also use this time to set up a shipping date. It is Imperative that someone be at home to accept the order and let us know ASAP of any DOAs, otherwise it will void any of our return policies, however, we strongly recommend the package to be picked up at the local FedEx hub or Airport. (See Shipping Below) Once we confirm everything is in stock, we will process the transaction and prepare the live stock for ship out.

After your package is shipped, you will be sent a tracking number along with an invoice. A physical copy will also be included in the box. Once received, we must be notified of any DOAS immediately with photographic proof, still in the bag. All livestock should be thoroughly acclimated (See Acclimation Tips) for best results. You will be given a data sheet detailing the parameters each coral or animal had been housed in, including lighting, water flow, specific gravity, etc.


Shipping Information

All live orders will be shipped Overnight via Fed/Ex or private airline depending on package size and destination. Orders will be shipped in boxes with styrofoam insulation, and heat/cold pack when necessary. All animals will be bagged with pure oxygen when appropriate. After your order is submitted, we will determine box size and notify you of shipping charges to your area.

Heat/Cold packs will be added when necessary and are FREE with orders over $250.

Dry goods can be shipped with live goods, depending on product and space availability. Other dry-goods orders will be shipped via USPS flat rate boxes for a typical $7-$20 charge.

Tracking information will be sent once finalized. We recommend picking up your livestock at the Nearest Fed Ex Hub to ensure the quickest transit time possible. This will prevent the box from spending an additional 2-8 hours in the box inside the truck, getting hot or cold. All livestock should immediately be readied for Acclimation (See Acclimation tips)

No matter how short, shipping is always somewhat stressful on invertebrates and care should be given during the first few weeks of acclimation.
